North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s teenage daughter, believed to be named Kim Ju Ae and around 13 years old, is being positioned as his possible successor. The South Korean spy agency NIS has reported that she could be considered Mr. Kim’s heir based on credible intelligence. Despite speculation, some observers believe North Korea’s male-dominated society may not accept a woman leader. Not much is known about Kim Ju Ae, as North Korea is a secretive nation, but she has made public appearances with her father since late 2022. The NIS believes she could extend her family’s rule into a fourth generation, despite her young age.
