More than eight years after hairstylist Fabio Sementelli was stabbed to death, one of the killers testified that the stylist’s widow, Monica Sementelli, wanted him dead for insurance money. Christopher Austin, convicted of murder, revealed that Monica’s lover, Robert Baker, carried out the killing as part of a plot to pocket $1.6 million in life insurance. Despite Baker’s guilty plea, Monica maintains her innocence, with her defense arguing there is no evidence of her involvement in the murder.
