Kiena Dawes, a young mother, took her own life and left a note accusing her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Wellings, of murdering her after enduring years of controlling and coercive behavior. Wellings, who was cleared of causing her death, had left Dawes hospitalized for 11 days in the past. In her note, Dawes expressed hope that her story would help others and apologized to her daughter for leaving her.
