Keith Urban is getting ready to release his new album, and he’s excited for fans to hear a special duet he’s been keeping under wraps for over a year.
At the 2024 CMT Music Awards, Urban talked about his new music with ET’s Cassie DiLaura, revealing that he has a duet coming out next month that he’s thrilled about.
When asked about the speculation regarding the duet partner, Urban coyly replied, “You just never know!”
He mentioned that the duet was recorded last summer and that he’s been eager to share it with his fans, along with the rest of the album later this year.
Urban admitted that it has been frustrating keeping his projects a secret but was excited to perform “Straight Line” at the show, promising a high-energy performance.
After delivering a powerful debut performance of “Straight Line” at the show, Urban expressed his excitement at the positive reception of the song.
He hinted at his upcoming duet, revealing that his mystery collaborator was present at the event.
Urban, a nine-time CMT Music Awards winner, was among the top performers at the show, which also included Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Sugarland, and more.
The 2024 CMT Music Awards, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, took place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and aired on CBS and Paramount+.
