Ahere Gillies and Isaiah Buchanan jailed for manslaughter of Javon Aranui in Hastings

Javon Aranui died from a brain bleed caused by 16 head injuries sustained during a brutal two-on-one attack in Hastings. Justice Peter Churchman described the assault as an attack on a vulnerable person as Ahere Gillies and Isaiah Buchanan were sentenced for Aranui’s manslaughter in the High Court at Napier.
