On the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Biloxi continues to struggle with recovery, facing funding disputes with FEMA, which has proposed only $555,000 for necessary $4 million pier repairs. Mayor Andrew Gilich highlights that the city needs $111 million for sewage and stormwater upgrades, citing delays and inadequate support from FEMA as ongoing challenges to rebuilding efforts.
