Two women, Alyson Lee and Diane Bligh, have been charged with criminal damage for spray-painting Charles Darwin’s grave at Westminster Abbey with the slogan “1.5 is dead” in a protest by Just Stop Oil. Lee and Bligh will appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on February 11 and February 12 respectively. The incident occurred at about 9.30am on Monday, marking the grave of the 19th-century biologist with chalk paint.
