A federal judge has permanently blocked the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, ruling that there was no “rebellion or danger of rebellion” justifying such action. This follows President Trump’s attempts to federalize 200 Oregon National Guard troops amid protests against immigration policies. The Trump administration has since appealed the ruling to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
