An Ontario manicurist, Chi Do, reported her safe containing firearms, cash, and silver bars stolen the day after being asked to provide photos of her gun collection, raising suspicions among authorities. Do was previously convicted for illegally transferring firearms and was flagged as a high-volume purchaser after acquiring four handguns in four days, leading to an investigation that revealed 15 firearms registered in her name. Despite claiming a theft occurred, police found no signs of forced entry, and some of her guns were later recovered, suggesting she may have been a “straw purchaser.”
