Former Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall resigned in October, feeling that stepping away was the best way to help the team bounce back from a sluggish start to the season due to irreconcilable fan relationships affecting on-field performance. Following consecutive losses to Chelsea and Bayern Munich, Eidevall believed removing the cloud hanging over the team would allow them to focus and perform better, despite feeling the decision was difficult as a fighter wanting to prove doubters wrong. Sources indicated he had lost the dressing room and felt the breakdown with fans, particularly after the decision not to renew Vivianne Miedema’s contract, had gone too far, ultimately leading to his resignation.
