Joint Chiefs chairman heads to US-Mexico border to review troops

CQ Brown is visiting the U.S.-Mexico border to assess military progress in fortifying the wall, with 9,200 U.S. troops deployed, including 4,200 under federal orders and 5,000 National Guard troops. The Trump administration designated eight gangs and cartels, such as Tren de Aragua and MS-13, as foreign terrorist organizations, expanding efforts to combat criminal organizations. U.S. NORTHCOM Commander and Mexican Secretary of National Defense signed a mutual agreement on border coordination, emphasizing increased information sharing and respect for sovereignty in ongoing efforts to address illegal immigration.
