NASCAR penalized Joe Gibbs Racing’s Chase Briscoe for a modified spoiler on his No. 19 Toyota, resulting in a loss of 100 driver/owner points and 10 playoff points, a $100,000 fine, and a four-race suspension for crew chief James Small. Briscoe now sits at negative 67 points in the standings, dropping from 10th to 39th. Additionally, Front Row Motorsports’ Todd Gilliland and Rick Ware Racing’s Cody Ware were penalized for a safety violation involving added ballast to their cars, resulting in a loss of 10 driver points and 10 owner points for each team.
