Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of late President John F. Kennedy, revealed her acute myeloid leukemia diagnosis in an essay for The New Yorker, stating she has less than a year to live following the birth of her second child in May 2024. At 35, she expressed deep guilt over adding another tragedy to her family’s history of loss, which includes her grandfather’s assassination and her mother’s passing from cancer. Schlossberg also voiced concerns about healthcare changes impacting women’s access to care, particularly after her cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cut NIH funding. She focuses on creating memories with her two young children, hoping to carry those moments with her after she is gone.
