Jesse Plemons to Play a Young Plutarch Heavensbee in Prequel THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING

Oscar nominee Jesse Plemons has been cast as Plutarch Heavensbee in Lionsgate’s adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, joining a cast that includes Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, and Mckenna Grace. The film, directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Billy Ray, explores the early life of Heavensbee in District 12 during the reaping of the Tributes, set twenty-four years before the original series. Sunrise on the Reaping will be released on November 20, 2026, following its bestselling book launch.
