Lauren Sanchez’s appearance at a White House event with Jeff Bezos is causing quite a buzz.
The wealthy couple attended a State Dinner in Washington, D.C., in honor of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Bezos, 60, looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo, while Sanchez, 54, turned heads in a stunning red evening gown.
The striking dress, an off-the-shoulder burgundy number with a lace corset-style top and a satin mermaid fit, is from Moda Operandi and can be purchased online for $2,300.
Official photos of the couple entering the event were quickly shared online, and Sanchez also posted her own pictures on Instagram later that evening.
In her Instagram post, she shared two photos of herself in the red dress before revealing a picture of herself enjoying a slice of pizza to end the evening, showcasing her stunning engagement ring from Bezos.
Sanchez’s celebrity friends commented on her look, praising everything from her dress to her new haircut.
ET confirmed the couple’s engagement in May 2023 after four years of dating. Bezos and Sanchez went public with their relationship in 2019, the same day Bezos announced his divorce from his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, after 25 years of marriage.
In a November interview with Vogue, Sanchez discussed their upcoming wedding plans, sharing that they were still in the early stages of planning and figuring out the details for what will undoubtedly be a highly anticipated event.
According to reports, Bezos proposed by hiding the ring, estimated to be over 30 carats, under a pillow after dinner. Sanchez recalled, “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit.”
