A Hamas official confirmed to Al Jazeera the existence of a “signed agreement” on a ceasefire deal, stating that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reneged on the agreement before launching deadly attacks on Gaza. The attacks shattered a two-month ceasefire, resulting in at least 404 Palestinians killed. Hamas is engaging with international actors to halt Israeli aggression and views the attacks as a unilateral cancellation of the ceasefire deal, calling for global protests against the assault.
