An Israeli strike in Beirut’s densely populated Ras al-Nabaa district killed Hezbollah’s media chief Mohammad Afif, with no immediate confirmation from Hezbollah or the Israeli military. The strike targeted a building housing the Ba’ath Party offices, resulting in the collapse of upper floors onto the first storey. Afif, a longtime media advisor to Hassan Nasrallah, managed Hezbollah’s media relations office and had recently stated that Hezbollah was prepared for a prolonged conflict with Israel.
