Israel’s President Isaac Herzog criticized the UN General Assembly for “moral bankruptcy” and failure to confront anti-Semitism during a speech marking the 80th anniversary of the Holocaust. He condemned the International Criminal Court’s warrant for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and the rise of anti-Semitic ideologies following Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attacks. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also denounced the attacks and global anti-Semitism, urging action against historical distortion and rehabilitation of Nazis.
