Israeli Hostage Declared Killed in Gaza as Fears for Captives Mount

The Israeli military confirmed that Arab citizen Hamza Ziyadne, held hostage in Gaza, was killed, adding to the 98 hostages still in captivity, with 36 presumed dead. His father, Youssef Ziyadne, also a hostage, was found dead alongside him in a tunnel in Rafah. Efforts to broker a truce between Israel and Hamas to free hostages have seen little success, with ongoing negotiations and conflicting demands hindering progress.
