The decision, announced last month by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been challenged in court and temporarily frozen. Protests and interruptions during the hearing led to a recess, with the court resuming without an audience. Bar has pushed back against the government’s move, calling it politically motivated and aimed at preventing investigations.
