Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to recover all hostages, both “living and dead,” as Israeli airstrikes reportedly killed at least 52 people in Gaza amid ongoing conflict and confusion over a proposed ceasefire. Despite Hamas’s claims of accepting a ceasefire proposal, US envoy Steve Witkoff denied this, while international leaders condemned the humanitarian crisis worsening from Israel’s military actions. The health ministry in Gaza reported over 3,822 deaths since a ceasefire ended on March 18, with the overall toll reaching 53,977, primarily civilian casualties.
