Israel announced on Sunday that it is halting the entry of all goods and supplies into the Gaza Strip, warning of “additional consequences” if Hamas does not accept a U.S. proposal for an extension of the ceasefire. The first phase of the ceasefire expired on Saturday, with negotiations ongoing for the release of hostages and a lasting ceasefire. Israel supports extending the ceasefire through April 20, with Hamas yet to respond to the proposal.
