Canadian firm ends its sponsorship of the Israeli-owned team following multiple pro-Palestine protests at major cycling races.
Premier Tech, the title sponsor of Israel-Premier Tech, has terminated its sponsorship amid repeated pro-Palestinian protests during major cycling races, including the Vuelta a Espana. Despite the team agreeing to rebrand for the 2026 season, Premier Tech stated the ongoing controversy made it untenable to continue their support. The team, owned by Sylvan Adams, had faced accusations of sportswashing and significant public backlash, leading to calls for a ban on Israeli sports teams. Canadian cyclist Derek Gee also departed the team, citing personal beliefs as a reason.
