Israel pounds Lebanon’s Hezbollah after device blasts

Israel launched airstrikes on Lebanon’s Hezbollah just hours after the group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, promised retribution for attacks that destroyed communication devices, killing 37 people and injuring thousands. The Iran-backed Hezbollah blamed Israel for the explosions, but Israel has not yet commented on the incidents. Nasrallah made his first public statement since the sabotage, vowing to retaliate against Israel for the attacks on their operatives’ pagers and radios.
