Russia Developing Anti-Satellite Weapon for Starlink
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Two NATO intelligence services suspect that Russia is developing an anti-satellite weapon aimed at disrupting Elon Musk’s Starlink network by creating destructive clouds of shrapnel in orbit. This “zone-effect” weapon could potentially disable multiple satellites, but analysts express skepticism about its feasibility due to the risk of widespread chaos in space. Canadian military officials acknowledge the possibility of such developments, while the French military highlights Russia’s recent reckless actions in space. Additionally, Russia has claimed to have deployed the S-500 ground-based missile system, capable of targeting low-orbit satellites.
