Iraq has resumed crude oil exports from the Kurdistan region to Turkiye after a two-and-a-half-year deadlock, allowing 180,000 to 190,000 barrels per day to flow to the Ceyhan port. This agreement aims to enhance Iraq’s oil revenues and stabilize relations between the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdish region, following significant losses since the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline was halted in March 2023.
