In Vienna, the UN nuclear watchdog reported that Iran has offered not to expand its stock of uranium enriched to up to 60 per cent purity, near weapons-grade levels, as long as Western powers drop their resolution against Iran at the IAEA meeting. The IAEA verified that Iran has started preparatory measures to cap its stockpile at around 185kg, enough for four nuclear weapons in principle, although Iran denies seeking such weapons. The stock of uranium enriched to up to 60 per cent had increased by 17.6 kg to 182.3 kg as of Oct 26, according to the IAEA report.
