Iran FM Araghchi in Oman ahead of nuclear talks with US

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Muscat for indirect nuclear talks with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, following previous rounds of negotiations. The discussions aim to secure Iran’s rights to peaceful nuclear energy while addressing the U.S. sanctions reinstated by President Trump after withdrawing from the 2015 nuclear deal. Araghchi emphasized the need for goodwill from both sides to achieve progress, with expert-level talks including Iranian deputy foreign ministers leading the technical discussions.
