Iran’s Nuclear Deal Conditions
Ali Shamkhani, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, stated that Iran is prepared to sign a nuclear deal with President Trump under specific conditions, including a commitment to never pursue nuclear weapons, limiting uranium enrichment for civilian use, and allowing international inspections in exchange for the lifting of all economic sanctions. Shamkhani expressed frustration over Trump’s mixed messages, emphasizing that better relations are possible if the U.S. removes external influences, particularly from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Ongoing negotiations have been described as difficult yet encouraging, with both sides seeking a resolution to the nuclear issue.
