Instagram has expanded its personalized Reels algorithm controls to all English users globally, allowing them to customize recommended topics and highlight three specific interests for 2026. Users can modify topics suggested by Meta’s AI based on their activity, as well as indicate what they want to see less of. While the algorithm adapts quickly, there are some inaccuracies in content classification, such as mislabeling skiing clips. However, users cannot directly manage the frequency of ads in their recommendations.
