A federal jury found Michael Wei Yueh Liu and Jing Dong guilty of running a birth tourism operation in Southern California, enabling Chinese women to give birth in the U.S. for citizenship. Operated from 2012 to 2015 in Rancho Cucamonga, the scheme charged tens of thousands of dollars for their services. Liu, 59, and Dong, 47, advised clients on obtaining U.S. citizenship for their children.
