Millions of Hindu devotees gathered in Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh festival, the world’s largest religious gathering, to bathe in the confluence of three sacred rivers and seek spiritual purification. The festival, rooted in Hindu mythology, rotates among four pilgrimage sites every three years and is expected to draw around 400 million people over 45 days. Indian authorities have set up a massive tent city to accommodate the vast crowds.
