India asks US Supreme Court to respect comity of nations in Antrix-Devas dispute over failed satellite deal | Bangalore News

India has urged the US Supreme Court to respect the comity of nations by upholding a US court’s August 2023 order to set aside a $1.2 billion arbitration award against Antrix Corp in a dispute with Devas Multimedia. The US appeals court ruled that Antrix Corp, as an alter ego of India, must have business in the US to be under US court jurisdiction. The US SC allowed oral arguments from foreign investors seeking to overrule the appeals court’s decision, with various business bodies supporting the investors’ stance.
