Four companies and two individuals have been charged in Singapore for providing illegal short-term accommodation across 170 units in 50 private residential developments, violating the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) regulations that require a minimum stay of three months. The accused face a total of 340 charges, each with a maximum fine of S$200,000, as URA emphasizes strict enforcement against such violations to maintain residential integrity.
