IFC has provided a €100 million loan to OCP Group in Morocco to increase sustainable water supply for fertilizer production. The loan will fund the construction of a 219-kilometer water pipeline and pumping station to transport desalinated water from OCP Group’s facilities in Jorf Lasfar to support their plant nutrition solutions and phosphate-based fertilizers. This initiative aims to enhance water availability for farmers and households while promoting environmentally-friendly agricultural practices.
