IBM has launched the FlashSystem C200, a high-capacity flash storage system aimed at replacing traditional HDDs in enterprises. With 1.1PB raw capacity, 2.3PB effective capacity, and 200,000 IOPS performance, it is optimized for archives, backups, and sequential workloads. The system integrates with IBM’s Storage Virtualize and offers high density, endurance, and lower operational costs, signaling the end of spinning disks and accelerating the shift towards flash storage in the industry.
