IAF proved capability to strike down Chinese spy balloon-type targets at very high altitude

The Indian Air Force successfully demonstrated its ability to combat Chinese spy balloons flying at altitudes exceeding 55,000 feet along the eastern front, following in the footsteps of the US government’s use of an F-22 Raptor fighter jet to eliminate a similar threat in early 2023. Discussions were held between the IAF and the American Air Force to address the challenge posed by these high-altitude balloons, ensuring strategic coordination and preparedness for future encounters.
