Detroit-area library says Chicago man can keep overdue baseball book — 50 years later – Chicago Tribune
Chuck Hildebrandt, a man who grew up in suburban Detroit, returned a very overdue baseball book to his boyhood library in Warren after 50 years. The library director forgave the fine for the book, "Baseball’s Zaniest Stars," which Hildebrandt borrowed in 1974. In return, he is raising funds for Reading is Fundamental, aiming to collect $4,564 to support literacy programs. Full Article
