A court heard that Habibur Masum, 26, fatally stabbed his wife Kulsuma Akter, 27, in Bradford after tracking her to a refuge where she sought safety from his violent and controlling behavior. Despite being under court orders to stay away from her, Masum confronted Akter while she was pushing their baby in a pram, launching a brutal attack that resulted in her death just two days before she was to be rehoused. Masum denies murder but has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and possession of a knife, with the trial ongoing.
