Tracker path shows Category 2 storm hurtling toward East Coast

The first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic season, Hurricane Erin, rapidly intensified to a Category 5 storm before weakening near the U.S. East Coast.

After impacting Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, it is now expected to bring dangerous surf and rip currents, along with heavy rains, to the East Coast, Canada, and Bermuda in the coming days, as per the National Hurricane Center.
