Erin has intensified into a Category 4 hurricane in the Caribbean, currently located 150 miles northeast of Anguilla with maximum winds of 145 mph, moving west-northwest at 20 mph. While it is not expected to make landfall, nearby islands are under tropical storm watches, and precautions are being taken in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas due to potential flooding and severe conditions.
