Huge crash involving at least three police cars closes A1 in both directions

In Newcastle, the A1 road was closed due to a crash involving at least two cars and three police vehicles. The collision occurred between junctions J73 and J75, causing significant traffic delays and road closures. The National Highways agency stated that the road will remain closed for several hours for a police investigation.
