The FAA has cleared SpaceX’s Starship for its ninth flight test, scheduled for May 27 at 7:30 PM ET, following a review of a previous explosive flight. This test will feature the first reuse of a Super Heavy booster, which previously flew during Starship’s seventh test, though some components have been replaced. The Starship upper stage aims to deploy eight Starlink dummy satellites, while the booster will splash down in the ocean, with improvements made to prevent past issues with engine failures.
