How to catch the Geminids, one of the strongest meteor showers of the year

The Geminids meteor shower, originating from the asteroid 3200 Phaethon, peaks on Friday, offering a chance to see fireballs in the sky. Due to the almost full moon, only up to 15 meteors per hour are expected at peak time. Meteor showers are best viewed under dark, cloudless skies away from city lights, with the next shower, the Ursids, expected to peak on Dec. 22.
