A UPS cargo plane, bound for Hawaii, crashed shortly after takeoff from Louisville, Kentucky, on Tuesday, resulting in at least 12 confirmed deaths, with more expected as 16 families report missing loved ones. The MD-11 freighter crashed less than 2 km from the airport, hitting nearby businesses and igniting a fireball due to the 144,000 liters of fuel onboard. Investigators found the left engine had detached during takeoff, triggering the disaster. The search for victims continues, with 11 others injured in the incident.
