The Brantford Bulldogs of the OHL have drafted Alexander Karmanov, a seven-foot-tall defenceman from Moldova, making him the largest hockey player in history and the first Moldovan selected in the CHL Import Draft. Before joining the Bulldogs, Karmanov played in Russian and Belarusian leagues and committed to Penn State University for Division I hockey starting in 2027.
