The average price tag on a newly marketed home in Britain fell by over £5,000 in November, with the typical asking price at £366,592, down 1.4% month-on-month, according to Rightmove. This marks the second month of weaker price growth than usual, with prices increasing by 0.3% in October, lower than the typical 1.3% rise. While asking prices are expected to rise by 4% in 2025, the market remains price-sensitive and seller competition is at its highest level in a decade, despite anticipated mortgage rate cuts.
