Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has expressed his desire for a swift resolution to the investigation into alleged misconduct, especially with the Formula 1 season just a week away.
On February 5, Red Bull announced an investigation into allegations of misconduct towards a team employee. Horner has denied any wrongdoing and continues to work, but there is no public timeline for the conclusion of the investigation.
“Everybody would like a conclusion as soon as possible, but I’m really not at liberty to comment about the process,” Horner said during pre-season testing in Bahrain.
F1 and the FIA have both called for a quick resolution to the investigation.
McLaren chief executive Zak Brown and Mercedes’ Toto Wolff have also urged for transparency in handling the investigation.
Red Bull’s domination in the previous season has raised concerns about their close collaboration with sister team AlphaTauri, prompting calls for rule reconsideration from Brown.
Horner defended Red Bull’s ownership of two teams, citing their successful ownership of soccer clubs in the Champions League as well.
He highlighted Red Bull’s commitment to supporting the sport through various challenges, emphasizing that the two teams operate independently.
Horner dismissed the controversy surrounding the ownership structure, stating that it is a non-issue.
