Challenger Nathan Hochman is currently leading incumbent George Gascón by 30 percentage points in a new poll conducted by the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies. The survey, co-sponsored by The Times, shows that 51% of likely L.A. County voters would choose Hochman, while only 21% would vote for Gascón, with 28% remaining undecided. Hochman has seen a significant improvement in his campaign’s performance leading up to the Nov. 5 election.
