Police at the Belagavi airport in Sambra responded to a bomb threat email received by the airport director, which was later confirmed to be a hoax. The entire airport was thoroughly searched by police personnel and sniffer dogs, but no suspicious items were found. The investigation to identify the sender of the email, which originated from Chennai, is ongoing, and a case has been registered at the Marihal police station.
